The Northwest Territories Karate Association (NWTKA) is hosting a Kumite Clinic at Mildred Hall Back gym on May 19 – 21. Special guest instructor Sensei Yevhen Motovylin will be leading the clinic. I highly encourage students to attend, this is a great opportunity to fit more training in before the end of the season!! There is no additional cost to attend since all students are members of the NWTKA.
From January 27 – 29 the NWT Karate Association (NWTKA) is hosting NCCP Canada Games Training Sessions and Workshops. Please see the attached poster for the location, schedule, and age requirements for each session. For those that are too young to train at some of the sessions feel free to stop by and watch. It will be a great experience for the children to see where they can progress as they keep training.
There is no additional fee for these workshops since we are NWTKA members.

Happy New Year!! I hope you all enjoyed the holiday break. Semester 2 classes resume Wednesday January 4 at St. Joe’s Small Gym.

The classes for September 19 and 21 are at Mildred Hall. Classes will resume at St. Joes the following week.
Classes are cancelled this evening, September 14th, due to key fob access issues with the Gym. Next week classes will be at Mildred Hall while they fix the access problems. Hopefully this will be sorted out soon so we can resume at St. Joes.

Karate classes start Wednesday September 7th at École St. Joseph School. If interested please complete the student registration.
Classes are now in the small gym at École St. Joseph School located at 489 Range Lake Rd.
There is an additional advanced class on Mondays for ages 14+. Please check out the updated class schedule.
Yearly dues have remained the same but we have switched to semester fees instead of monthly fees. The year will be broken into 2 semesters the first is from September to December and the second is from January to May. More information can be found here.
